Experimental study on traditional timber-concrete hybrid house with different types of roofs using shake table

Abstract Buildings with different roofing systems possess seismic performance during earthquake. Most of the traditional buildings are susceptible to earthquake disaster due no loading is considered in design. In addition, irregular have been proven perform badly events. Due lack investigations on asymmetrical timber-concrete hybrid building under loading, a ¼ this type model was tested seismically using unidirectional shake table. Four structural models frequencies 3.85 Hz, 3.33 2.70 Hz and 2.50 varied diagonal wooden braces roof materials namely heavy metal clay tile. The were subjected El Centro ground motion excitations scaled 0.08 g, 0.16 0.24 g 0.32 PGA resembling 25%, 50%, 75% 100% actual strength, respectively. Nine accelerometers seven LVDTs used measure response table test for acceleration displacement, Heavier material shows trend amplitudes across maximum displacement time history, but clear decrease level as compared lighter material.
